Getting Started
How does the 30-day free trial work?
+
When you create a CardTrac account you get 30 full days of unrestricted access — no credit card required. Every feature is unlocked during the trial: unlimited card entries, full P/L reporting, CSV import, photo uploads, and everything else. On day 31, if you haven't subscribed, the dashboard is locked and you'll be prompted to choose a plan. Your data is never deleted — the moment you subscribe, you pick up exactly where you left off.
Is CardTrac free to use?
+
Yes — every new account includes a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. During your 30-day free trial you have unrestricted access to every feature. After 30 days, a paid plan is required to continue — all your trial data is saved.
Can I import my existing spreadsheet?
+
Yes. CardTrac has a built-in CSV import tool under Import Inventory in the dashboard sidebar. It accepts exports from Excel, Google Sheets, eBay, PWCC, and any custom spreadsheet. Upload your file, map your columns to CardTrac fields, preview the data, then import everything at once. No manual re-entry required.
Does CardTrac work on mobile?
+
Yes. The dashboard is fully responsive and works on any phone or tablet. On mobile you can also photograph cards directly from your inventory — when adding a card, tapping the Camera button opens your rear camera so you can snap a photo without leaving the app.
Inventory & Data
How does CardTrac calculate profit and loss?
+
CardTrac uses the purchase price you paid plus any grading fees as your true cost basis. Unrealized P/L is the difference between your current market value and cost basis for cards you still own. Realized P/L calculates automatically when you mark a card as sold. All figures update in real time as you edit your inventory.
Can I track grading fees?
+
Yes. Every card has a dedicated Grading Fee field. The fee is automatically added to your cost basis so your P/L reflects what you actually spent — not just the purchase price. This matters most for PSA and BGS submissions where grading can significantly affect your real return.
What happens to my data when I sell a card?
+
When you mark a card as sold by entering a sale price and date, it moves from your Available inventory to your Sold history. It drops off the portfolio charts and P/L calculations for your active collection, and shows up in your P/L Report under the Sold Cards section. Nothing is deleted — you keep a full record of every transaction.
Can I add notes and photos to my cards?
+
Yes to both. Each card has a Notes field where you can record where you bought it, condition details, grading submission status, or anything else relevant. Photos can be added by taking a picture with your phone camera, uploading an image file, or pasting a URL. Photos appear as thumbnails in your inventory table and can be viewed full-size with a tap.
Privacy & Billing
Is my card inventory private?
+
Completely. Your inventory is isolated at the database level — no other user can ever access your cards, and we do not share or sell your data. CardTrac is ad-free. Your collection data is yours alone.
How do I cancel my subscription or end my trial?
+
If you are in your 30-day trial: simply do nothing — it expires automatically on day 31 with no charge.

If you are on a paid plan: sign in to your dashboard and click Manage Membership in the sidebar. You'll be taken to a secure Stripe portal where you can cancel, update your card, switch plans, or download invoices. You can also go directly to billing.stripe.com and enter the email you used to sign up — Stripe will email you a one-time link to access your portal.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep full access until then. We offer refunds within 30 days of your initial purchase if you are not satisfied. If you'd rather we handle it for you, just email hello@cardtrac.io.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
+
Your data stays in your account until you actively delete it. If your 30-day trial expires, your data is preserved — subscribing restores full access immediately. If you cancel a paid subscription, your account downgrades but nothing is deleted. You can export your full inventory as a CSV at any time from the dashboard. If you want your account and all data permanently deleted, email hello@cardtrac.io and we will process it within 30 days.
Is CardTrac financial advice?
+
No. CardTrac is a personal record-keeping tool. Portfolio values, P/L calculations, and any market data shown are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial or investment advice. Card values can go up or down. Always make your own decisions about buying, selling, and holding cards.
